Mofilet-S 360mg Tablets Mofilet-S 360 contains Mycophenolate Sodium, an enteric-coated prodrug of mycophenolic acid (MPA). MPA is a potent, selective, uncompetitive, and reversible inhibitor of inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH), an essential enzyme in the de novo pathway of guanosine nucleotide synthesis. Because T- and B-lymphocytes are critically dependent on this de novo pathway for proliferation, MPA suppresses lymphocyte proliferation and antibody formation, inhibiting cell-mediated and humoral immune responses. Mofilet-S 360 is indicated for the prophylaxis of organ rejection in adult patients receiving allogeneic renal transplants, used in combination with cyclosporine and corticosteroids.
