RAYFETOX 500 Tablets RAYFETOX 500 contains Deferasirox, an orally active tridentate iron chelator that binds ferric iron with high affinity in a 2:1 ratio. The chelated complex is primarily excreted in the feces, promoting iron excretion and reducing systemic iron overload. It is indicated for the treatment of chronic iron overload due to frequent blood transfusions (transfusional hemosiderosis) in patients with beta-thalassemia, sickle cell disease, and other anemias, as well as chronic iron overload in patients with non-transfusion-dependent thalassemia syndromes.
