Apigat 2.5 Tablets Apigat 2.5 contains Apixaban, a highly selective, reversible, and direct inhibitor of factor Xa. By inhibiting factor Xa, it decreases thrombin generation and blood clot formation without requiring antithrombin III. It is indicated for reducing the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation, for the prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) following hip or knee replacement surgery, and for the treatment and prevention of recurrent DVT and pulmonary embolism (PE).
