Clexane 60mg Injection CLEXANE contains Enoxaparin Sodium, a low molecular weight heparin derived by alkaline degradation of heparin benzyl ester from porcine intestinal mucosa. Enoxaparin binds to antithrombin III, accelerating its inhibition of coagulation Factor Xa and, to a lesser degree, Factor IIa (thrombin). By inhibiting Factor Xa, it disrupts the conversion of prothrombin to thrombin, preventing clot formation and propagation while minimizing effect on global clotting parameters at therapeutic doses. CLEXANE is indicated for the prophylaxis of venous thromboembolic disease (VTE) in surgical and medical patients, treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) with or without pulmonary embolism (PE), prevention of thrombus formation during hemodialysis, and management of acute coronary syndromes including unstable angina, non-Q-wave myocardial infarction, and acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).
