Clexane 40mg Injection CLEXANE contains Enoxaparin Sodium, a low molecular weight heparin obtained by alkaline degradation of heparin benzyl ester derived from porcine intestinal mucosa. Enoxaparin accelerates the activity of antithrombin III, thereby potently inhibiting coagulation Factor Xa and, to a lesser extent, Factor IIa (thrombin). By disrupting the coagulation cascade, it prevents thrombus formation and extension without significantly altering overall clotting times at prophylactic doses. CLEXANE is indicated for the prophylaxis of venous thromboembolic disease (VTE) in surgical and medical patients, treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) with or without pulmonary embolism (PE), prevention of thrombus formation in extracorporeal circulation during hemodialysis, and the management of acute coronary syndromes, including unstable angina and non-Q-wave myocardial infarction.
