Sofokast-Plus Tablets

Sofokast-Plus Tablets Sofokast-Plus is a fixed-dose combination oral antiviral therapy containing Sofosbuvir and Daclatasvir Dihydrochloride. Sofosbuvir is a nucleotide analogue prodrug that undergoes intracellular phosphorylation to form GS-461203, an active triphosphate metabolite that incorporates into viral RNA via the hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS5B RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, causing obligatory chain termination. Daclatasvir is a potent inhibitor of the HCV non-structural protein 5A (NS5A), an essential component required for viral RNA replication and assembly of virions. By targeting two distinct stages of the viral replication cycle, the combination provides high barriers to resistance and pangenotypic efficacy. Sofokast-Plus is indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection across genotypes 1, 2, 3, and 4 in adult patients, with or without compensated cirrhosis.
