Zerquan 600 Tablets ZERQUAN contains Praziquantel, a broad-spectrum synthetic anthelmintic agent. Praziquantel induces a rapid influx of calcium ions across the parasite cell membrane, causing severe cell membrane permeability changes, vacuolization, and immediate muscular contraction leading to spastic paralysis of the helminth. This sustained contraction dislodges the parasite from its attachment sites in blood vessels or host tissues, rendering it susceptible to degradation and elimination by host immune responses. ZERQUAN is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by species of schistosoma (e.g., Schistosoma haematobium, S. mansoni, S. japonicum) and liver fluke infections caused by Clonorchis sinensis and Opisthorchis viverrini.
