Elromo 50 Tablets Elromo 50 contains Eltrombopag, an orally active small-molecule thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonist. It interacts with the transmembrane domain of the human TPO receptor (c-Mpl), initiating intracellular signal transduction pathways that induce the proliferation and differentiation of megakaryocytes from bone marrow progenitor cells. This mechanism results in increased platelet production. It is indicated for the treatment of chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) in patients who have had an inadequate response to other treatments, thrombocytopenia in patients with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection to allow initiation/maintenance of interferon-based therapy, and severe aplastic anemia (SAA).
