Dasanat 50mg Tablets Dasanat 50 contains Dasatinib, a multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor that binds to both the active and inactive conformations of the BCR-ABL kinase domain. It selectively inhibits BCR-ABL, SRC family kinases (including LCK, FYN, YES), c-KIT, EPH receptors, and PDGFR-β. By suppressing the oncogenic signal transduction cascades driven by BCR-ABL and SRC, Dasatinib inhibits cell proliferation and induces apoptosis in leukemia cell lines. Dasanat® 50 is indicated for the treatment of newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in the chronic phase, as well as chronic, accelerated, or blast phase Ph+ CML and Ph+ acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) with resistance or intolerance to prior therapy (including imatinib).
