Endace 160mg Tablets ENDACE-160 contains Megestrol Acetate, a synthetic progestin derivative with antineoplastic and appetite-stimulating properties. Megestrol Acetate exerts its antineoplastic action by inhibiting the LH-pituitary-gonadal axis, resulting in anti-estrogenic effects that suppress hormone-dependent tumor growth. Furthermore, it acts as an appetite stimulant via complex central mechanisms involving modulation of hypothalamic neurotransmitters and cytokines, promoting weight gain and appetite enhancement in cachectic states. ENDACE-160 is indicated for the palliative treatment of advanced carcinoma of the breast or endometrium, as well as for the management of anorexia, cachexia, or unexplained significant weight loss in patients with advanced cancer or HIV/AIDS.
