Imatib 400 Tablets Imatib 400 contains Imatinib, a targeted protein-tyrosine kinase inhibitor that inhibits the BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase created by the Philadelphia chromosome abnormality. It also selectively blocks receptor tyrosine kinases for platelet-derived growth factor (PDGFR) and stem cell factor (SCF)/c-KIT. This action prevents cellular proliferation and triggers apoptosis in BCR-ABL positive cells and c-KIT positive tumor cells. It is indicated for treating Philadelphia chromosome-positive Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (Ph+ CML), Ph+ Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST), and Myelodysplastic/Myeloproliferative Diseases.
