DORUCIN-50 Injection DORUCIN-50 contains Doxorubicin Hydrochloride, an anthracycline cytotoxic antibiotic. Doxorubicin exerts its antineoplastic action through multiple mechanisms: it intercalates between adjacent base pairs of DNA, inhibiting topoisomerase II enzyme complexes to prevent DNA strand religation, thereby inducing double-stranded DNA breakages; it generates cytotoxic free radicals that induce oxidative damage to cellular membranes, proteins, and DNA; and it disrupts cellular macromolecular synthesis. DORUCIN-50 is supplied as a lyophilized powder for reconstitution and is indicated for the treatment of various solid tumors and hematological malignancies, including acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas, metastatic breast cancer, ovarian carcinoma, gastric carcinoma, thyroid carcinoma, soft tissue and bone sarcomas, and small cell lung cancer.
